1. Who We Are

PicDefense is an image compliance platform operated by Reliable Channel LLC. We help website owners inventory their images, assess copyright risk, store proof of licensing, and monitor for compliance drift. Our platform is available at picdefense.io and app.picdefense.io.

2. Our Privacy Promise

We know why this matters to you. If you are scanning your website for copyright risk, the last thing you need is that data being shared with the people sending demand letters.

So let us be unequivocal:

  • PicDefense does NOT share your scan data, risk scores, forensic reports, or uploaded licenses with any enforcement agency, rights holder, stock photo company, or third-party law firm. Ever.
  • PicDefense does NOT sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • Your data is used solely to deliver the services you purchased and to operate the platform.

Your scans are private. Your risk scores are private. Your proof vault is private. No exceptions.

3. What We Collect

Account Information

  • Name, email address, and password when you register.

Website and Image Data

  • URLs you submit for scanning.
  • Image data discovered during crawls (URLs, metadata, visual fingerprints).
  • Risk scores and forensic analysis results generated by our platform.

Proof Vault Content

  • Licenses, receipts, and compliance documents you upload.

Payment Information

  • Processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive transaction confirmation details (last four digits, billing address, transaction IDs).

Usage Data

  • IP address, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage patterns collected through analytics tools.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your information only for these purposes:

  • Delivering scan reports, risk assessments, and forensic analysis.
  • Operating your proof vault and compliance records.
  • Processing payments for your subscription or one-time purchases.
  • Sending transactional emails (reports, alerts, account notifications).
  • Improving the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.
  • Communicating product updates or changes that affect your account.
  • Marketing communications, only with your consent and with a one-click unsubscribe in every email.

We do not use your data for ad targeting, profiling, or resale.

Cloudflare

Purpose: CDN, DDoS protection, and DNS security

Google OAuth

Purpose: Optional sign-in to the PicDefense dashboard

Data shared: Name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account

Firebase (Google)

Purpose: Authentication and application database

Data shared: Email address, authentication tokens, and application data

Google reCAPTCHA v3

Purpose: Bot protection on the dashboard

Data shared: Browser interaction data and device signals for risk scoring

We also use AI services and image analysis providers to power our forensics engine and assist with customer support. These services may process image data or anonymized account context but do not receive your risk scores, forensic conclusions, or proof vault contents.

We send transactional emails (magic links, notifications) through a third-party email delivery provider. Only your email address and the message content are shared for delivery purposes.
