Do I need to Do More Than Image Attribution?

Attribution, which means to credit the person who created the graphic, image or picture, will not absolve the copyright infringement. While it would seem common sense an artist would want to gain exposure for their work, common sense and law do not go hand in hand.

Exposure has nothing to do with copyright infringement. According to copyright law, the copyright holder can choose how and when the work is published. If they do not give you permission to use their work on your site, in a book and in a newsletter, you cannot use it.
